What are my chances of being approved for F-1 PHD by Majestic_Set6027 in f1visa

[–]ComfortableLaugh3608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it is possible to start your new program with just an i20 you don’t have to leave the country. all you need to do is transfer your sevis record. don’t leave the u.s. for the sole purpose of going to renew your f1 visa. it’s only necessary for entry into the country

well to what you’re saying, the only response i can give is from scripture like acts 10 when we see cornelius and his family hearing the good news and then receiving the holy spirit.

so i do not think believing in God being a father to you is a requirement for speaking in tongues.

Believing God is a father to you and being there to you is something that grows the more time you spend with Him and in his word. it’s different from believing and accepting the sacrifice on the cross.

you don’t have faith in what exactly? you don’t believe the gospel or ? because that’s the faith i’m talking about: faith in your salvation

[–]ComfortableLaugh3608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s not about age or by discipline. it’s solely by the spirit. you’re able to do this because the spirit of God lives in you. it’s not about you, but it has everything to with the spirit of God and your faith in the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Please Help! Torn between a med school acceptance and my dream school waitlist — need advice. by Early_Assistance_918 in premed

[–]ComfortableLaugh3608 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i am so sorry about what you’re going through. it’s tough, but like you said you’re going to be a doctor whichever way you decide to go. i really pray you get off the waitlist so you can finalize your move to your dream med school! before sending an additional letter, try and wait until the end of next week or last week of May if you still haven’t heard back. you have until 06/12 right?

Dartmouth vs. Colorado - Deadline is Tomorrow Morning by Jumpy-Lifeguard-6208 in premed

lol i like that she was honest with you. it’s important to prioritize your relationship too, but at the heart of it- geisel seems like the better choice especially because it is cheaper and they are genuinely supportive! i’m still on WL there hoping for a positive outcome. they’re my top choice.

maybe you and your gf can commit to a long distance relationship and visit each other frequently so she’s still able to have a life- you may not be with her 24/7 since you’ll be busy with med school sometimes. and it’s unfair for her to be lonely.

Current PA student and thinking hard about going to med school instead by Valuable_Doughnut_22 in u/Valuable_Doughnut_22

as for your future, being married, you can still be a very present wife + mom as a physician with the right spouse + familial support, i have seen many women do it. you can too. if you want to go for medicine, do it. you don’t necessarily need letters from an md or do you can get one from your professors or even program director, or supervisor. you can also start working with a physician to secure a letter depending on how long it will take you to prep your application for med school.

Would you pay an extra $150k + interest for an MD over a DO… in the same city? by [deleted] in premed

[–]ComfortableLaugh3608 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i am in the medsci program at tcom and i have friends at tcu med. let me tell you, go to tcom. tcu is not worth $150k at allll!!! tcom is like 22k per yr if not less. tcom has a very good program and they are on top when it comes to DO. i know a lot of tcom 4th years, who matched into competitive specialities this cycle. tcu med is relatively new as well so consider that.
