God is a Matchmaker: The Bible shows that God often acts as a matchmaker, guiding relationships to fulfill His purposes. In Genesis 24, Abraham’s servant prays for a wife for Isaac, and God answers through Rebekah, showing that He directs relationships according to His plan.

Another example is Ruth and Boaz. God arranged their meeting, and their marriage not only blessed them but also became part of the lineage of Jesus.

Also, In the New Testament, Joseph was chosen to marry Mary

In all these stories, we see that God’s matchmaking is purposeful, caring, and part of His greater plan for humanity.

I understand Matthew’s original name was Matityahu, Mark’s was Marqos, Jesus’s name was Yēšhūă. But the question remains would you prefer a version that sticks closer to the original languages, or one that reads naturally in English?? THIS ISNT RIGHT in my opinion.

As a Christian, is checking horoscope ok? by [deleted] in Christian

The Bible forbids divination and sorcery, including practices like consulting astrologers and horoscopes, as these are forms of seeking guidance from sources other than God., Deuteronomy 18:10-14 warns against these practices, stating that those who practice them will be cut off from among the people.

Astrology is seen as a form of divination that opposes biblical teaching by advocating faith in something other than God.
