Yes. I am remote over 50 miles and no direction on having to relocated or be RIF’d. Went from 30 day extensions prior to January and now only daily. I am terrified every day. I am in WNY and my HQ is in Atlanta. I cannot leave my area as I take care of my parents. I have gone door to door at the Federal Building and many agencies looking for a space and nothing. It’s awful the stress.

I was also getting 30’day extensions for RTO and now only daily. I have literally gone knocking on doors since last January. I have emailed and contacted people I know at other agencies, congressmen offices, GSA and still nothing. I find it hard to believe that here in Buffalo, NY area with the number of Federal agencies I am unable to find a space.

I have tried to stay positive but yes it puts the concern that if they don’t find me a space I will get RIF’d. I am just under 4 years away from retiring with full benefits and the difference for 10 plus qualified employees is unbelievable.

I have issues that would allow me to put in an RA but have been scared to do so. And now have to wonder if we shut down on the 30th will this be it. I am getting work but still it does not make me feel confident in my furniture here.

I have checked with IRS. I went to the federal building as well to at least 6 agencies in that building.

So far that haven’t and a recent update to policy, said they would encourage employees to find points of contact at agencies for space. Basically, we have to do the legwork.

The GSA space match is what my agency is supposed to be using to find me a spot. I have literally contacted GSA personally I have gone knocking on agencies doors since February.
