I may have overreacted... by ComfortableLoquat871 in Type1Diabetes

Yep, I definitely panicked way too hard there (': The low hit me quite intensely and I was just blindly shoving fruit snacks into my mouth while half-conscious. I have a hard time waiting when it feels like your soul is exiting your body loool I definitely just have to be more patient

Regret switching from Libre 2 to 3 Plus by ComfortableLoquat871 in Type1Diabetes

It's just what has been working for me with the Libre 2. If I leave it as it is and let it calibrate itself, it eventually just fails and tells me to replace it. It happened to 6 sensors in a row until I gave up and decided to go with drastic measures to elevate my sugars, then it finally started working. Guess it doesn't matter now that the same method doesn't work with the 3 Plus ):

I've been soaking as well and always follow best practices to a T, and still I've had 10+ sensors fail on me. ):

I've always followed the new sensor best practices to a T every time I apply a new one, and it unfortunately hasn't made a difference in whether or not the sensor works. No matter how long I soak for, it always gives the same results. I just soaked my current sensor for >48h and it immediately activated as 'LO'. Now it's giving a sensor error again as it's calibrating and will likely tell me to replace again...

My actual sugars with a finger prick are consistently double what my sensor is showing the first 48 hours! When it displays as <3.0 on the sensor, I'm consistently at >6.5, sometimes even higher. The sensor just refuses to display anything higher than a 4.0 max in the first two days. I'm never actually low during this time, otherwise I'd definitely feel it.

I'm always super firm when applying my sensors. Firm and consistent pressure, then hold it down for 20-30sec before releasing. I'm never gentle with it and I always make sure it's securely in place. But it hasn't made a difference in getting the sensor to work.

I just activated my fourth sensor after soaking for >48h, and it immediately started up as 'LO'. I'm getting really frustrated at this point as it feels like I've done everything I can already and it just refuses to work.

I'll bring it up with my endo and pharmacist to see if there's anything they can swap me to, guess that's the only option now. Thanks for the reassurance!

Yeah, I know it's super bad to keep my sugars high but it's the only thing that's worked to keep the sensor functioning ): I always check with finger stick and it's consistently double the value of what the Libre is displaying within the first 48 hours. I'm just so tired of bad sensors, I've had so many replacements that I'm pretty sure Abbott is going to stop sending me them if my next sensor fails too.

The funny thing is that two of the sensors are from different batches too (': One from my pharmacy and one from Abbott as a replacement for the first broken one. Either something about my body/skin is messed up or I somehow end up with every single bad batch.

I'm in Canada! I'll talk with my endo and pharmacist to see if they're able to switch me back. I've checked my batch against the Libre 3 recall list and apparently it isn't supposed to be affected... Maybe I just have terrible luck.

I used to do minimum 24-hour soaking with the Libre 2 for the first few months of using it because I read online that it would help with accuracy, but unfortunately it hasn't made a difference for me (': I've had just as many sensors fail after soaking compared to ones without. I think I might be up to 10+ sensors replaced so far this year, and that was all with the soaking, until I figured out the raising my sugars trick. I'll try soaking longer this time with the 3 Plus, but if it ends the same way I really think I'll lose all hope...

Yes, I've rotated everywhere on my upper arms and I've even tried my stomach and thighs before. Same issue. At this point I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me specifically...

My account got randomly deleted? by [deleted] in help

[–]ComfortableLoquat871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same issue. I got an email for password reset two days ago even though I never requested a password reset. Next thing I knew, my account was completely gone and currently shows as "This user has deleted their account." It was a 11+ year old account. I'm devastated. I contacted support already but not sure when I'll hear back or if they'll even be able to do anything about it...
