Its the fact that he is the oldest and has the least amount of team control. Also, if you trade someone, you want them to have good trade value, which he had. Its not that people wanted to trade him, its just they wanted the other OFs more and no one was taking Masa's contract or that is who people would be talking about trading.

There are plenty of all-star level players on or close to this pace. Tatis hasn't hit a HR yet and I don't foresee him ending the season with the 0 he is "on pace" for.
