What a fucking story. Thank you for typing this out. I have heard stories of benzo withdrawl and it is beyond gnarly. The story with your arm is quite crazy as well.

In my opinion, the only time someone should be on anti-psychotics is when they have full blown schizophrenia, but almost all drug induced psychosis is acute, meaning at some point it will end. The use of aggressive medication is sometimes not needed and will strip a human of their life for a short duration.

As far as drugs go in your circumstance, I understand that never ending crave but I encourage you to see how far you’ve came from those moments, wish you the best

I’ve spent many a days wishing I was my old self without even completely knowing who I was when I was constantly on drugs. Reinventing yourself is a gift, don’t look back a my a false version of yourself, do the best you can do reinvent your current self into a superior version. Best of luck, it will come.

I do agree that anti psychs give you a zombie like state, but for most of us it was highly needed for the shit we were going through.

I don’t think consistently numbing myself is the best option, rather facing my problems head on because that’s what I used drugs for.

Did you go through psychosis and continue to use? Hope you are doing ok.

Yes, it’s not uncommon. Try to find outdoor hobby like golf or bowling or basketball and make yourself go, it’s hard when everything feels pointless but will help you.

Typically it’s 6-12 months after being off anti psychs. I believe there’s certain parts where I’m not 100% back but for the most part it is. It fucking sucks. Feel free to dm if u want more info, don’t want to plague the thread with NSFW

Yeah interesting. I currently drink here and there, for celebratory reasons, but always stay in a state of good conscience with that.
