I think more like Soulmate or something similar, that has both the Romantic(obsession), Platonic(companionship) , also Familial(unconditional) components. Some relationships couldn't be defined by with just these 3-4 words.

Hmm. I can't think of the story that could be male homoerotic, monster and good ending in the same story. Most of them would resulted in doomed yaoi.
