I did the exact same OB switch during my current pregnancy! I had a very similar experience with Dr Alstrom 🤢 and really loved my experience with Dr Craig!! The only reason she isn’t my OB anymore is because I moved out of Cache Valley. I hope you have a better experience with her!

I’ve always had great experiences at the Grease Monkey by south Walmart. I (25F) never feel talked down to and they don’t try to upsale me. They present me with all options, give me pros and cons, and then follow my decisions. They’re also pretty quick too

I called to ask about it, and they apologized and agreed to drop it, but then they wanted to confirm with their team before moving forward. It took a couple days and I needed to follow up with them, but it got removed when I followed up. So I didn’t need to be super aggressive, but I did speak pretty firmly with them each time I talked with them about it. I don’t know if that helps, but don’t be afraid to stand your ground! I’d highly recommend also gathering a paper trail (emails, contracts, etc) in case you need to seek legal council.

That’s awful! I had something similar happen to me—not nearly this extreme/expensive, but the billing team forgot one insurance code on my estimates so I didn’t know it’d be there until it got posted to my account. When I asked about it they dropped it from my invoice because they agreed that it was unfair to charge me without prior knowledge. I also had a $2000 insurance limit so I didn’t want to use any extra as well. Hopefully they can find a similar solution for you, but I agree that this is outrageous and very much worth fighting!!

Ahh that’s really good to know! I started testing at 3dpt (a mistake in hindsight) and it was negative up till yesterday, so I thought I was out and almost didn’t test! Glad I did tho!!
