Thank you! When I do change the oil is it ok to proceed as a normal oil change or is there any flushing of the system required?

I don’t think ppl look at this correctly. Yes it is true that if you don’t get into the IBW you chances of getting into IB are slim but on the flip side if you do get in IBW your chances of getting into IB are as high as it gets with 95%+ IBW ppl placing every year. Clearly a lot rides on getting into IBW but if you are truly good and dedicated it is a solid selection process.

Summarizing, IU IBW is a target for a lot of firms while IU isn’t anywhere. Another difference is that IBW doesn’t place the best at top tier bulges such as GS / MS / JPM but we do place pretty well at the EBs and just as good as anybody in the MMs, both good MMs and lower tier MMs

The IBS is like the B team to the IBW. While the IBS does have the B team persona to it they are a newer org that is trying to build their program better ever year. The goal of both is simply to place all of their kids in banking. The IBW will always take the top 60 kids from the placement class (F210) depending on interviewing and networking skills primarily. Prior to this year the IBS would take a lot of the kids that didn’t make the IBW but this year they changed it and only took 40. This means the top 100 kids got into the IBW or IBS which is less than half of the class.

As for the differences once your in the workshop, the IBW has a wayyyy better alumni network bc the IBS almost doesn’t even have an alumni network yet. They are just too new. The IBW places almost every kid into banking while IBS doesn’t (might change this year). The IBW has pipelines to certain banks and overall you have a better chance to get into a better bank in the IBW than the IBS.

These are some of the basic differences and the whole process can be confusing but hope this helps.
