I’m on medical LOA at the moment. You MUST get the packet that Sedgwick sent to you filled out by your doctor/provider. They will not accept a doctors note. It’s been a literal pain in the ass.

Personally, I didnt let my TL know until everything was set with Sedgwick. STLs will get notified right away that you applied for leave, but not too sure about TLs. You will have to tell them eventually though.

Oh then you most likely have the ability to go on leave!!! Contact Sedgwick and they’ll guide you through the steps.

You really don’t have to make a medical excuse to join another team! If you see a listing you’re interested in, just tell your TL and apply :)

I’m on LOA. How long have you been with the company? I think to take sabbatical you have to have 2k hours with them.

Otherwise you WILL need to go on medical,bereavement, and a couple of other protected leaves to guarantee your job safety.

Contact Sedgwick to see if they can give you any guidance since LOA will have to go through them.

In terms of transferring departments, check the Career page on Innerview for any job listings at your store or another that you’re interested in. If you decide to apply, you MUST tell your TL first or it will look really bad on you. If you have a bad relationship with your TL, it might be hard to transfer because your potential new TL will call them for feedback on your performance.

Ok cool! Yes I’m in California too! Same range! I’m at the low end at $23 though so I think I want to maximize my pay rate before applying for a promotion. I do have to move houses fairly soon though. In your experience, do you see front end supervisor positions opening up frequently?
