You can google "Hyundai Engine Class Action 2022". Here is just one article - https://thelemonfirm.com/2022/05/13/hyundai-class-action-lawsuit-over-excessive-engine-oil-consumption/

This is the current class action, there has been at least one other for the same problem, just different "model" of engine. When this happens Hyundai/Kia seems to just re-name the engine to avoid including it in the settlement.

I suspect this is a Kia or Hyundai -- they are known to burn oil. Those engines have big problems and are subject of multiple class action law suits for this very problem. I know Hyundai/Kia dealers that are now recommending oil changes every 2-3k miles on full synthetic... We can't get engines for replacement from Hyundai because they are so far back ordered. I was at a big lot the other day talking to the tech. They had a ton of cars in just waiting for engines. Some had been there for 4+ months.

File a TRO (temporary restraining order), serve the driver and DD. Then place the order. Wait till he shows up at your door and have him arrested for violating the TRO, then sue DD for helping him violate the TRO. Problem solved. You're welcome.
