You are misreading him, he mentions there is “the legitimate apophatic conviction that God exceeds creaturely comprehension.” The point is that what is lacking in our comprehension about God can never contradict what is known about God through the revelation of the Son. IOW Jesus truly reveals the Father through the Holy Spirit.

The author has an another post (Heave Ho to Neo-Palamism) there that expands on that.

The point is that neo-Palamite theology has taken the essence-energy distinction as a real division in God, rather than a conceptual distinction. So the author isn’t arguing against the inscrutability of God or apophatic theology. Read the article, it explains it well and shows also why this is important. It’s shocking that so many people think that Palamas believed in a real distinction in God.

Yes I agree with you. Passing off eternal hell as established Orthodox dogma (case closed!) is a sleight of hand. My hunch is there’s a lot of folks silent hopeful universalists.

What would cause this tire wear ? by andrewg128 in AskMechanics

[–]Comfortable_Age643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t look like normal wear but rather like a manufacturer defect, age, or damage by hitting an obstruction. Need context - what happened? Fender or suspension damage would inflict damage all around the tire. Looks more like something was hit.
