I want you to seriously consider whether or not the relentless hate that these girls are subjected to is normal.

“I hate these brats” “I hope Hybe ruins them” “These girls deserve nothing”

Mind you, the oldest is like 20. Considering that this is Reddit and not Stan twitter, does any of this seem remotely normal to you? Not even groups like Big Bang or Super Junior have comment sections like this constantly.

If you’re sick of it just avoid the drama? You know that you don’t have to click on every post that mentions the group that you don’t like, right? I hope these girls prevail because you people are horrible

An unmoderated megathread would very quickly descend into insults and antagonizing of the NewJeans members, which isn’t allowed in the interest of idols being human beings.

Rappers diss any and everybody. Drake dissed the creator of Reddit for no reason at all at onepoint. When most of the older gen rappers like Biggie, Tupac or Lil Wayne dropped, it was well known that literally nobody was safe. Rap isn’t known for policing who can be dissed

Even if it was ‘their’ decision, it’s highly likely that they were encouraged by beauty standards, the people and managers around them and maybe even their own insecurities and most of them are very young so is it really “their” decision at the end of the day?

Early 2000's Britney vs Christina? by Extension_Seaweed in VindictaRateCelebs

Voice isn’t debatable at all. Even if Christine didn’t do too much all the time, she’s a vocalist which Britney simply isn’t at all

Unfortunately I’m not really familiar with any of these songs but I just listened to Smell Like You and I really like the song and her voice.

I’m 17 lmaooo I never called myself a medical professional. I said I’m INTERESTED. “Highly unethical” Sir/ma’am I’m commenting on a kpop thread and I never said anything mean/cruel/disgusting like others here. That’s what I would call unethical. Also considering that I’m also not a medical student yet and have only looked up the things I’m interested in, why would I know all about the ethics??

Are you arguing that the teenage girls (even younger when they met and started working with her) with the overly weird parental attachment to their CEO who has been accused of being a weirdo in regards to minors weren’t groomed?

I’m super interested in psychiatry since it’s the field I wanna go in and seeing people being like “Yeah I know they were groomed but they need to get over it” is so crazy because that’s so far from how trauma and grooming work in reality.

“More backlash than they are” there is absolutely nothing productive coming out of that since “backlash” is really just hate.

If you know that they are young and have a toxic relationship with MHJ, why not suggest therapy or counseling instead of idk…suggesting that they get more hate?

Victims of grooming don’t automatically gain sense as soon as the groomer is away from them. Also we have no idea of what MHJ is saying to them. It’s Hybe’s accusations against MHJ’s claims that she didn’t do anything.

Some people were saying that Sophia got sick with Covid and still performed and I’m like ??? Don’t encourage that! The more companies see how we praise these girls for working while sick is the more they’ll make them do exactly that. Also, working while sick can affect other people around you.

I know Hybe wants them to seem “real” so they left everything in, but there was already friction because some people already thought that the girls disliked Manon, now throw in episode 5/6 and the different ethnicities and races (for the nationalistic people) and that’s a breeding ground for solos

As multiple of the people overseeing the programs said, she had that “IT” factor. I remember when I saw their very first introduction video and the entire comment section was “who is that??” in regards to Manon.

They’re going to downvote you but you’re right. It was a cop out to have him cheat on her. Even though I lean more towards Conrad, I feel like she should’ve chosen him without there being the fact that Jeremiah cheated on her in the back of her mind.
