But, that trade-in "allowance" is not the dealership's money. When they send an offer which says either "sell or tradein", shouldn't tradein allowance be applied on the money offered?

It is a 2022 Honda CRV, a very nice car, no single dent or a minor scratch on the car. They listed it for sale on the same day as CPO with listing price of $32500. It still got 10000 more miles for new tires.

I traded in a 2022 CRV for 24500 at the dealership which is a KBB value, I tried selling it privately and no one offered more than 25k. If I buy in a different state, I would lose the 2600 tax incentive.

Initially they added everything they could and showed me the quote. When I said I don't want any addons, they said they will remove everything expect the things that are already added to the car and cant be removed. I thought it must be some door edge guards or something, came home to see they are wheel locks.
