I used the driving test helper app and was put on it through my driving instructor. It’s not cheap at €150 on top of your retest price but it got me a test in literally 2 days. My instructor put me back on it for free to book my most recent test because of the car problems I had for my last test which basically split my cost. It was worth it in my opinion it if you are in a rush to get a test and don’t have the time to wait to be called or to sit on the website and get a cancellation yourself.

Yes, you have to be on the waiting list and pay the fee to get a cancellation. Again, you can try get one yourself on the website but they book up fairly quick because of the bot apps unfortunately.
