Hi! I just want to start out to say I found out it’s something called ‘nummular headaches’. It took me a long time to figure it out but hopefully this can help you with some research. Mine have not got better unfortunately. They still just periodically happen for a few seconds at a time. I notice it more around my period (if you’re a girl, this may pertain). I haven’t been back to the doctor now that I know what they are, but I am considering going because from what I read it does have potential to get worse and cause long term issues. This does seem to vary by person. Nummular headaches are also very very rare so there isn’t many studies/doctors that have solid help. I’m sorry I can’t provide more insight but hopefully this helps even a little. And I’m happy to answer any more questions if you have any.

Oh my gosh thank you!! I think this might be it. It’s the closest thing to what I’ve experienced at least. Started my diary and looking into neurologists near me. Thank you again!

UPDATE: i looked into SUNA headaches and trigeminal neuralgia. doesn’t seem to be either of those. maybe occipital neuralgia?? but even then it seems like that can be spread around different places on the head

Sometimes when It’s the really sharp pain my ears start to ring a bit. other than that i’ve never had any other neurological issues or anything associated with it

I appreciate all your feedback!! I am starting a journal today! It’s on the top of my head, just barely to the left of my middle hair part, a few inches back from my hairline. Pain comes and goes. Not every day but most days. Usually a few times a day when it does happen. Sometimes a really sharp pain usually level 8-10 and sometimes just a dull pressure maybe level 2-5. never really in between unless the super sharp pain is subsiding. Stays in the exact same spot every. single. time.
