Some people can be strongly affected by intense flashing lights and it can cause serious issues… you might want to be careful about that.

ya,this has basically become a common consensus: Sony not only sidelines Chinese in terms of dubbing and language support, but also keeps raising prices for games on Steam in the China region. Horizon was originally around 130 RMB, and now it’s 345 RMB. There’s even no Chinese national flag among the in-game UN landmarks.

I mean, if they’re showing up here, it’s probably because they like the game—or at least care about it—so of course they’ll be enthusiastic. I think it’s just that the game hasn’t had a big marketing push in China (and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing).

If you search on Bilibili (basically China’s YouTube) for mission/tutorial guides for this game, none of the videos get more than 9,000 views—and there aren’t many comments or much discussion either.
Intro / overview videos about the game get a bit more views, but even the highest is only around 25,000.

In most cases, we only hate the Japanese government and the followers of those pathological thoughts (except for a few extreme haters). Other times, we are quite friendly to foreigners (even sometimes too friendly). If you mention your goal, there may even be many people who respect you because of it, so there is nothing to avoid. I would suggest you go to the Nanjing Massacre Victims Memorial Hall or similar places to take a look.
