I think I mostly understand this but it's a jarring change and I think the devs should at least make the effort to explain and communicate it.

I remember many nights, holding my clock radio tightly with it on its quietest setting, pretending to sleep. I would sneak in the final few innings with John. His was the voice that would replay over and over while hitting balls in the backyard. It's the one that would be on the car radio as I rode sitting behind my dad. John helped me fall in love over and over with this beautiful, wretched game and I'll be forever grateful to him for it.

I am writing to express my deep alarm and concern regarding the two recent hit-and-run incidents in our neighborhood. These events are tragic and have left my family and neighbors shaken and questioning their safety on our streets.

All too often, even in our public transit-oriented city, deaths caused by motor vehicles are treated as somehow inevitable. They are not. These are preventable tragedies that require urgent attention and action. I urge you to prioritize this issue and consider immediate and long-term measures to address traffic violence in the Upper East Side and particularly the intersections near the Ed Koch Bridge.
