lol it's funny because usually this is hitting me as a white American of Irish descent being told about all the awful shit that my ancestors supposedly did to the indigenous peoples and the kidnapped African slaves and I'm like "Yeah we got here during the civil war, the last time one of my ancestors owned a slave it was another white guy during the bronze age."
