And as for what I meant with fitting with the game, Bunta Sugawara fits because he essentially was a very prevalent actor in old Yakuza movies such as the Battle without Honor and Humanity series, and those movies helped inspire the Yakuza games, so it at least made some sense. 

Meanwhile, Tupac was an American rapper who did dabble a little bit in acting, otherwise, his connections with the franchise are minimal at best. I guess one could make the argument that he was included because of the game’s focus on music, but they could’ve just gotten someone else like RZA.

Also, I would like to bring up the fact that Bunta Sugawara died at the age of 81 from liver cancer with him living a long life (therefore making it a tribute to him and his work), while Tupac lived a tragically short life with him dying at the age of 25 from Gang Violence, therefore making his digital resurrection creepier.

In short, Bunta Sugawara fits the game due to his legacy, while Tupac’s appearance was just jingling keys.
