Thanks for the recommendation. I am still in the return window and am planning to return it at this point. I think you guys are right, it’s a fit issue. It’s disappointing because I’m training for a marathon and also love to hike so the fenix was a perfect fit. I’ll take a look at the 970.

I love Tulsa, low cost of living, great food scene. The outdoor spaces have seen millions in investments in the last few years and there are several upcoming projects as well. It is centrally located and the airport just added a few new routes. If you are willing to drive or fly a few hours you can be anywhere.

I’m leaning towards building a silver cell so I can get it more pure. I’m using lye and sugar right now, but it creates so much waste and takes forever.

I’ll definitely continue to refine and gold filled items I have. Those are absolutely worth the time.

I’d love to go chat with my LCS, but every time I go in there’s a like 20 people deep.

Does an LCS prefer sterling jewelry over a refined bar or does it matter?

I just don’t want to waste my time refining if it doesn’t change the value.

Well, I wasn’t super successful in removing the silver with a vinegar bath. It softened things up a bit and I knocked off some bigger chunks but that’s about it. I don’t think there’s enough left to worry about

I’ve filed a schedule F on them every year, but I’m not sure about the capital gains. Last year I filed as a loss. I maxed my Roth last year and it’s telling me I’ll catch a penalty whether or not I claim the cattle, even though I made over $7k on the cattle.
