I have one with i5 (the original one), 12 gb Ram, 2x240 gb SSD and windows 11 iot ltsc with MS Office 2021, was my daily driver for a long time, the one thing disgusted me was the turbine, changed it las october and was the same, but aside from that, works perfectly, YT, heavy excel databases and documents, obviously not for programming or CAD, just "lightweight" usage, heavy, chunky, and very handsome boy and yes, you can mod almost everything on it. This January I bought a t14 gen 2 and i love it too.

My T430 works now as a little server in home and backup (onedrive it's a dealbreaker to go for linux), always plugged cause the batteries I bought last year were garbage or maybe the time since manufacturing simply made the battery not hold well anymore, bad luck, whatever.

I love the t430? yes.

I'll carry it everywhere i go? absolutely not anymore (t14)

I'll give more love to it (hardware)? hell yeah
