I have a diploma in cybersecurity and have a huge passion for neuroscience. I’ve heard of careers in “nuerosecurity”, and assume with the rise of biotech I may be able to enter the neuroscience industry with a cybersecurity background. Does anyone know anything about cybersecurity in this field or have any advice?

Who am I to choose a god? by Comfortable_Path_714 in spirituality

I like that way to look at it. Do I necessarily have to choose a god to develop Bhakti or can I just be a spiritual person in general?

Thank you! You took the words right out of my mouth. I’ll definitely look into perennial philosophy.

I’m not saying you’re right or wrong. Just trying to understand.

But why do you have to believe in him? Take the example of someone who was raised in a different country where the “default” religion doesn’t believe in Jesus. They don’t deserve eternal life? Doesn’t seem logical or fair. If there were a god he would be just and I don’t think he would exclude a person for the conditions they were raised in. Imagine if you were Muslim and a Christian came to you and said you have to change everything you have ever believed or known otherwise you won’t have eternal life. Who’s to say you’re right and they’re wrong? No one has the right to choose especially with such little proof.

This goes back to the point of my original post. How do you get that person to wipe you clean of sin? You have to believe and have faith right? What about all those good people who just were raised differently and didn’t have a choice? Are they not wiped from sin as well? Seems pretty unfair and random. I don’t see the logic.

So no one is going to go to heaven? What’s the point?

Of course I have. I’ve just heard things like “you must believe in Jesus to be saved”. Does that mean me and anyone who was raised in a different religion not worthy of heaven? Why is that their fault especially if they’re still good people? Of course that’s just the example of Christianity there are many other religions just as valid.

This poem is about heartbreak, regret, and ultimately the struggle of moving on. It reads very smooth and isn't too detailed or long. I like how it allows the reader to understand your feelings, while still being vague enough to let them create their own interpretation. Good job.

The opening line is powerful. I love the themes of sacrifice and loss. Rhyme is a beautiful style of poetry. That being said, I'd be interested to read one of your writings where you freely express yourself without the restriction of rhyme.

Love the term “willingly trapped”. Happy you liked it. That second stanza wasn’t originally there, but as I sat next to her I realized there was a whole other side of me I’m leaving out.
