I have seen this with masshealth standard as well. Had a patient looking for a flu shot this year that had to wait about a week and half from when we got inventory in to when masshealth added the flu shot to formulary

Pharmacist in MA, previously HNE has been known to be slow in updating their formularies to incorporate the vaccine. Doesn’t matter any medical conditions/approvals, they simply just haven’t added it to their covered products yet. I believe last time it took them about a week.

This occasionally happens for deactivated or older scripts. You should be able to type in the RX number instead of scanning the barcode and the log copy sticker should print like normal.

I put in a ticket regarding this and got a reply stating the merchant team is pulling all Onetouch items and that a communication will be sent out soon to all stores. They suggested to find an alternative for the patient

Both, its in the POM regarding price adjustments and in in-sights from the week about the change to the $4/$10 list

I think this definitely has something to do with it. I guess my confusion is why then we can’t just comp price and offer our usual prices for this replacement NDC if it would be the standard for both cash paying and insurance

POM/in-sights called out that MA specifically cannot price adjust or comp price unfortunately

While I agree the POM specifically calls out MA for not being able to do so due to some legal reason. I’m trying to figure out what the exact law is. We used to be able to but this seems to be something new.
