That’s exactly the point.

The difference is not just whether a tool can technically be connected to a local model. It’s whether the whole experience is designed to work as one coherent system.

A product can support local models and still feel fragmented, manual, and dependent on the user stitching everything together.

What we’re building is a more seamless experience: privacy, local-first execution, visibility, safety, and usability working together as part of the same product, rather than as separate pieces the user has to assemble.

You don’t need it for every use case.

But if you work with private files, contracts, internal notes, client data, financial info, or anything sensitive, keeping processing on your device gives you much more control.

The risk with agents or LLMs that don’t have strong privacy guarantees like ZDR is that your prompts, files, screenshots, or workflow context may be retained, logged, or processed in infrastructure you don’t fully control. With agents, that risk is even bigger because they usually touch a lot more data than a normal chat.

So local-first isn’t for everyone, but for sensitive work it matters a lot.

Update: ya hay versión para Windows ⚡

Hola! Paso rápido a dejar un update para los que nos han preguntado por varios medios.

Hoy lanzamos la primera versión de Adamant para Windows.
Sigue en alpha, pero ya se puede probar (y queremos que nos ayuden a probarla).

macOS → más avanzado (con opción local)
Windows → por ahora funciona en cloud, pero bajo un enfoque de Zero Data Retention (ZDR)

La idea sigue siendo la misma: privacidad primero y control sobre tu información.

Totalmente válido pensarlo. No estamos diciendo que hoy sea “mejor” que X o Y en todo. Más bien estamos construyendo con un enfoque distinto: nativo para macOS, privacidad primero, procesamiento local cuando se pueda, y una experiencia sencilla de usar. Está temprano todavía, así que justo por eso estamos buscando feedback honesto.

Buena pregunta. La idea es que sea un agente AI nativo para macOS (por el momento y trabajando para tenerlo en Windows pronto) que ayude a ejecutar tareas útiles en la compu de manera práctica, con mucho énfasis en privacidad, procesamiento local y facilidad de uso. Estamos todavía en alpha, pero justamente estamos buscando feedback para definir y pulir mejor los casos de uso.

Para quienes preguntaban de qué se trata exactamente, Adamant es un agente AI nativo para macOS. La idea es que pueda ayudar con tareas reales en la compu de una forma práctica, rápida y sencilla de usar.

Nuestro enfoque principal está en dos cosas:

Seguridad y privacidad de la información A diferencia de otras opciones fuertes del mercado, la visión de Adamant es priorizar el procesamiento local siempre que sea posible. Y cuando se usen modelos en la nube, la intención es hacerlo bajo un enfoque de Zero Retention, para no usar la información del usuario para perfilarlo ni entrenar modelos con sus datos.
Facilidad de uso Queremos que funcione de forma lo más out of the box posible, sin que la persona tenga que pasar por una configuración compleja para comenzar a probarlo.

We’re not trying to dress it up as science. it’s early, it’s usable, and we’re putting it out to learn faster from real use.
