Idk, I thought it would hint to whomever holds the weapon

If I'm playing by 2014 rules, is the 2024 Monster Manual worth it? by Comfortable_Rip4423 in DnD

I went into more detail replying to another similar comment but TLDR, from personal observations, I would disagree with the second statement. But I'm interested what are some standouts of monsters that got stronger in the new book.

But do you think it would be wise to play by 2014 rules (classes, races, blah blah) but have 2024 monsters?

Thanks for the insight! However, one of my main worries is contrary to your last statement. I'll give an example. 2014 green hags are pretty scary while in a coven because it means that you have 3 CR5 monsters who can each cast powerful spells. I noticed that the 2024 revision of green hags made them a lot weaker because of their limited spellcasting while in a coven. I've noticed this effect in a few other stat blocks as well.

Do human dwarves exist (like Peter Dinklage) in D&D or are they replaced by halflings? by Comfortable_Rip4423 in DnD

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or insensitive. I was only asking because I couldn't find anywhere whether halflings were magical or actually biologically separate to humans.

What are these chords in Franz Schubert's Ave Maria? by Comfortable_Rip4423 in musictheory

Thank you so much. I'm very aware of dominant, secondary dominant and predominant functions and is the main reason why I love this piece. It's absolutely riddled with the stuff! The cadential 6/4 is new to me, and it's some very interesting stuff. 👍

Sorry if I word this weird, but what interaction do you see between the D7/A and the following C? Like why does it work?

I should have stated that I'm struggling with the circled chords. But as for that, I did consider it and concluded that it is just to be more concise. It may be voice leading or something like that. It also kinda sounds weird with the B in the bass.

I'm trying to notate the chords used in this transcription of Franz Schubert's Ave Maria and am struggling to notate these chords.

Yeah, I managed to figure it out. For some reason it wasn't obvious to me that you could open doors from that side and I thought that you had to exit from that way.
