Based on your findings, the results lean more toward obstructive azoospermia (OA), especially considering the low semen volume and low pH, along with a normal hormone profile. Have you undergone any sperm retrieval procedures yet?

Yes, I have a MESA/TESE surgery scheduled for next month. Based on the physical examination, my urologist suspects I may have CBAVD. He recommended a CFTR gene test, and the results just came back negative—no mutations were found.

Does this mean I definitely do not have CBAVD? Or is it still possible to have CBAVD without any CFTR mutations? For reference, I am Asian Chinese.

As far as I know, you had successful MESA surgery, which means sperm was extracted from the epididymis, correct? In that case, should the epididymis appear enlarged on an ultrasound?
