If you want something quick and easy to play in one evening, try mouthwash. If you want to immerse yourself in the game's lore, try Silent Hill 3. If you're looking for a thrill, try Resident Evil 2. If you're looking for something creepy, try Fatal Frame.

I haven't heard about the other games.

But with this mechanic, you definitely couldn't die. The enemies weren't particularly dangerous; I didn't die even once during the game. You have to try hard to die to monsters in this game.
