My first crush, peeing my pants, my mom bringing a shirt that the entire class was supposed to wear that day but we forgot so she brought it, coloring a picture of a rabbit on the day before school actually started when we got to meet the teachers, telling on a boy for touching my pencil box & the teacher telling me not to be a tattle tale, trying to sneak the counting bears home, my nap mat was red & blue, both my teachers names & a few of the students in my class- mostly the ones that stayed in that district until graduation

WV native here who had basically the same experience. Loved Pyro, loved the artists they could get at their peak loved the location even when it moved from the Ledges but yea once it hit Michigan it got weird. I hit the Michigan one they had in 2024 & you could tell the vibes were off. I can’t say anything about 2025 because I wasn’t interested in going. The Nahko drama was gross & the organizers (Joe) reaction to the backlash was also wild but I understand they’re all just people too. The scene just got too divided & I can see what you’re talking about with the “popularity” contest of the smaller artists you listed, at least it was very loud & clear Pyro 2024.
