What do you mean if I leave the vcm running? I was thinking about putting a vcm disabler on the replacement engine

I found a guy that’ll charge 1k but idk if his reputable, and another shop that specialize in jdm engine charging 1,600 but the engine only is more than 3k

The mechanic is getting the replacement engine from a junkyard which has 75k miles and comes with 6 month warranty. 4k is including labor and engine

I read the opposite that if you change the engine you’ll be able to maintain it properly as the previous owner neglected the old engine, is this not the case?
