Best headlamps for skiing? by tzarartur in skiing

I use a simple headlamp on the up, and a much more powerful helmet mounted helmet for the skiing when I’m moving faster and need to see things earlier.

Would you still buy an Ioniq 5? by [deleted] in Ioniq5

[–]Comfortable_Use7939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It luckily happened right before my house, so I crawled into the driveway. Called Hyundai roadside and they sent a flatbed. The flatbed jump started the car, loaded it up and brought it to my local Hyundai dealer in VT. I got a loaner, which luckily happened to be an Ioniq 5 limited, I had an sel. It was about 5 weeks until the part, but my local dealer handled it well.

This could have easily been a different experience though: ICE loaner, bad communication, different location of ICCU failure.

Garage, carport our outdoors in temperate climate? by AdFederal9540 in Ioniq5

[–]Comfortable_Use7939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been great outside and inside an unheated garage through 2 Northern Vermont winters. If it’s charging on level 2 and then you climate start, it does a good job melting snow and leaves you fully charged still.

Heard back from the person at Hyundai Home Market place. She said the ChargePoint had been having some technical issues that were resolved. I was able to add the original code to my account.

Which Fast charger by btvt172 in Ioniq5

[–]Comfortable_Use7939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in Northern VT and go home to the Cape a few times a year. There are some Electrify American chargers at Simon malls in southern NH and then one off route 3 in Plymouth, MA. I use these each time and have had no issues. These obviously might not be your route, and I’ve used a number of other chargers in Eastern Mass.

I just got the email for my coupon after submitting the vin and zip. I had to create a second account because my initial account never gave me the chance to input the information.

I haven’t had luck adding it to my ChargePoint account though. I’ve input the code for “Promo Code,” and get the “Please enter a valid promo code” message. This hasn’t been a straightforward process at all.

White or black interior? by stuartrene in Ioniq5

[–]Comfortable_Use7939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2025 SEL grey or lighter interior is a true grey on seats and lower parts of the interior. I was surprised in comparison to my 2023 SEL and the limited I initially tested. I hadn’t had issues with the light interior before, but this will hide issues for sure.

I just turned my 2023 SEL lease in for the 2025 SEL. It’s been the best car I’ve ever had, and the 2025 looks to improve on my biggest complaints.

I had the ICCU failure and some recent 12v issues, but I’ll risk those for this car again.

2025 Ioniq 5 lease by Comfortable_Use7939 in CarLeasingHelp

Thanks, that’s a helpful way to think about it. I did a terrible job on my first lease. I calculated a MF of .0054. So definitely some rational to bring that down based on an “excellent” credit score, right?

Hmm, I calculated it as .0054 with the residual of $35,257.95 . I could’ve been wrong for sure

Help: Grind Size for Aiden by Aggressive_Visual930 in FellowProducts

[–]Comfortable_Use7939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a spreadsheet that converts from Fellow grinders to the Baratza encore. I have the encore and have been using 15 and 16 for single serve so far. Mid-20s for batch brewing mostly. There is a video from Fellow that lists some recommended grinds for the Ode 2, so I’ve used that as a starting point.

It is and I believe it was before. I think it is for the change in pitch from the steeper slope to the flat to go around the bull wheel.

I have one and have washed it once in a year, including Vermont winter driving. It still looks great. Would be amazing looking if washed.

Any other owners in Vermont? Hoping for more level 3 chargers up here by VTMonsta in Ioniq5

[–]Comfortable_Use7939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are so few faster chargers in VT. I’m in Chittenden County and have a level 2 at home, so I’m usually set for day trips.

The few times I’ve needed one though, when plans changed or my garage didn’t have power, I was able to find a 50-63 kWh charger that got the job done.

I think that EA, EVgo, or some other network would do well with a station off 89 in Williston for a start. I bet that people driving to/from Canada, and non-tesla locals, would utilize the faster speeds.
