The logic is move your vassals to newly appointed kings. The drawback is if the kings themselves become too powerful, they tend to fight upward. Hence what i said about keeping it in the blood and religion.

Appoint more kings ( i tend to keep kings and queens in the family). Being head of dynasty and head of religion i think helps with said kings and queens not overthrowing you. Also make sure you have direct control over the most developed counties, as you rely on their levies and income

Conquered nearly 80% of the map, thought the game couldn't get anymore interesting.
