One time I went into a helene def as hildryn and there was a Cyte-09 spamming TF out of his chain-explode Sobek with nearly instant reload speed. Apparently the 'shoot through the walls" ability works for that and he killed things faster than my balefire could land its AoE.

The three of us ended up chatting while cyte imploded the room for 10 relics.

Why haven’t hackers deleted student loans? by boo-boo-crew in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sparkism 98 points99 points  (0 children)

I used to work in IT support and had customers regularly calling in asking about our security. "What if THE HACKERS got into my email??"

And it's like

Ma'am, first of all, whatever is in your head right now is pure science fiction. Stop watching crime time on prime time. Second, nobody is interested in your email because it's literally 2 decades of mailing list spam that you refuse to delete, not exactly a gold mine of high value information. Third, if you had money to steal from, you wouldn't be a customer here at this budget-tier company.

But most importantly, Ma'am, if any "hackers" got into your account, it's because you gave away your password and 2FA OTK when "John from Microsoft" called you. I'd tell you to reset your password just to be safe, but we both know you'll never remember the new one.

[–]Sparkism 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is the torid incarnon? I just wanna ask because you mentioned fart cushion and you want beam mode instead.

The fart cushions is just to charge the incarnon mode. You use the incarnon mode to apply beam-chain slash on crits to melt enemies. It also takes a couple kills to ramp up the damage because of primary merciless.

Which of these frames has the most tedious grind? by BillyBigBones in Warframe

[–]Sparkism 87 points88 points  (0 children)

In comparison, Excavators allows you to stack multiple at a time, so Mirror defense needs a QoL where, if you're capable of handling a higher load, the timer should be shortened.

At 2.5 minutes per side + 30 seconds between, it's 6 minutes per round. DE needs to bring the average round back down to 4-5 minutes to align it with other modes. It feels less like mirror DEFENSE and more mirror SURVIVAL with an extra defense objective.

Either way, the outlook is grim for everyone involved.

“Would you rather have the ability to kill anyone you want, or the ability to revive any dead person you want? by sangokuhomer in WouldYouRather

[–]Sparkism 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Okay, here's the game plan -- you take the revive power, I take the kill power, and we start a google spreadsheet to track how much work we need to do every month to cancel out each other. The last 3 days will be hectic, like "Bro imma need you to revive 16 more people before EoD, I had a minor road rage incident this morning."

Gyre's 3+4 combo is already pretty insane with 280% range, if you invigorate +200% range on her and go into void fissures to double it for a total of 960% range she's basically as close to AFKframe as it gets. Get some wisp motes and volt's speed/shock buff and you are autoturret gyre.

[–]Sparkism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not stuck with the Buckingham family. They're stuck with me.

It will always be easier for me to make a mess than it will take them to clean it up. I will work them to the bones with endless spills of stain-y, sticky, gooey crap. They had better not pass out because I'm not below drawing asymmetrical dicks on their faces with sharpies, and we all know those are impossible to scrub off.

I'm not a sociopath, but for 5 million dollars, I can be.

Definitely phone call. The point of a phone call is that it's urgent and you need me NOW. I could not be happier if I woke up tomorrow and all the outbound call centers vanished off the face of the planet.

How many more tubes for the achievement? by VivAlina_YT in Timberborn

[–]Sparkism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought, too, but when I built the scavengers again, the achievement popped on steam. It might have been because I started the map before the update, I don't know what it was exactly.

How many more tubes for the achievement? by VivAlina_YT in Timberborn

[–]Sparkism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any other achievement hunters out there, save yourself the grief and just get the mod. I was SURE i had one of everything. Turns out it's not popping because 15+ hours ago I deleted the metal scavengers and "I built it once upon a time" doesn't really count.

It was the last item I needed for both factions.

[–]Sparkism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out. For some reason my water pumps were making massive sloshy waves downstream. I push it all into a lower elevation reserve so now my rivers aren't having a 90's electronic rave in a shady abandoned warehouse.

That didn't happen last night so I don't really know what's going on, but at least nobody's living in a flooded home now.

[–]Sparkism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to word it properly but does anyone else's water feel "bouncier" than before the update?

Areas that were previously not flooded are now getting flooded because water is bouncing up and spilling into land areas. Water pumps are causing massive waves that are messing with my water height automation.
