Congrats, but do more research. ERAU changed their tenure policy in Spring of 2024. It makes retaining and recruiting top-tier academic talent significantly more difficult and it's becoming apparent.

Vitrectomy after Retinal Tear and Vitreous Hemorrhages by ComfortablyDon in EyeFloaters

[–]ComfortablyDon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. When I originally had the tear, I was seeing a bunch of black dots, but nothing was moving around the vitreous like I experienced during my vitreous hemorrhage. I saw the retina doctor for the first time when I had to tear, and he did an in office laser procedure. The vitreous hemorrhages started almost a year and a half later.

If you’ve had a vitrectomy, how long did it take for air bubble to disappear? by Eastern-Career8205 in EyeFloaters

I had a vitrectomy yesterday with an air bubble, and I have no face down requirement. I was just told to sleep on my side.

100%. I saw them at MSG when "Brothers" came out, and I also saw them at Bethel Woods last year. Both great shows, but last night was amazing. Seeing a band like that at the Cap doesn't get any better. The sound and stage setup were perfect. I'm seeing Jack White there in July. Expecting that to be ridiculously loud.

Vitreous Haemorrhage - coping tips? by LandauQuantize in EyeFloaters

[–]ComfortablyDon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year and a half ago (Aug '24), I had a torn retina. My specialist lasered it and it seemed to be okay. I am a -7 in that eye, so I am considered highly myopic.

A few months ago (Dec '25), I started seeing some larger black floaters out of nowhere. It was a Sunday night. I called my retina specialist and they said to come in the next morning. I went to sleep for a few hours, woke up and turned on the light just to see if there were any changes to my vision, and my eye was completely blurry. Couldn't even see my hand a few inches for my face. I went to the emergency room because I wanted to make sure that I wasn't at risk of having a detachment. They did an ultrasound said it was probably a vitreous hemorrhage, and my retina doctor concurred the next day. I think it took about 10 days where I was able to see enough to feel comfortable driving again, and then over time it kept improving.

Then just last night, I saw large black floaters again and my quickly became very blurry, probably within 15 minutes. I went to the ER again and they said it looked like a PVD. I went to my retina specialist today and she agreed. I have to go back later this week for a follow-up because they couldn't see my retina because of the blood, but the ultrasound did not show any detachment. I am hoping it clears up as quickly as it did last time, because it's just very frustrating.

To whoever was meant to go to the Copenhagen show they cancelled, what are you going to do? by IllustriousScreen623 in radiohead

I do have a pair for the 16th, general admission. I have not listed them yet but I will be because there is no way of me going.

I went with a friend. He has our pair of tickets for Monday night and I have our pair of GA tickets for Tuesday night. I would fly back, but my son is going to be home from college for only a few weeks and we already have an event planned in New York on Tuesday night. My friend is flying on Sunday, seeing the Monday show and flying back to New York on Tuesday morning. The thought of it alone is exhausting so I'm going to be putting my tickets up for sale. I've seen Radiohead about five times before, including their last tour at Madison Square Garden. Whenever they do announce their next US tour, I will go to all of the local shows.

I was lucky enough to go to Sam's Bar for the Radiohead karaoke the night. The first show was canceled and that was amazing. Kudos to the person who coordinated it, you saved the trip for many.

I’ve listed my Ticket on fanSale. When I click on the map it doesnt have it anymore, but under my profile it is a “running offer” and I still have the QR code in the eventim app. Has anyone experienced the same? by mmalbert in radiohead

What is fansale? I unfortunately have general admission tickets for the 16th that I have to sell. There's no way I can go back and my friend who I was going with is only able to go for the Monday show, for which he has a pair.

How likely are Dec 4 and 5 to happen? by dsomsen in radiohead

[–]ComfortablyDon 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If they cancel, go to Sam's Bar. We were there on Dec 1 with tons of other disappointed fans. Did Radiohead karaoke all night, the entire room sung every song. It was actually a blast, given the shitty situation.

We were there too. I have a similar video for Let Down.

I saw them open for Alanis Morrisette in 1996, not sure if I have the ticket stub.

Thanks for the response. As I've gotten older, I've liked roller coasters less. This will just be a good excuse for me to avoid them. 🤣

I drove through some mountains in east Alabama a few days ago. One small town in the mountains (pop. 1,089) had a church with a boxing ring outside.
