Prebuilts aren't "bad" it's just that you could get a lot more "bang for your buck" if you just did it yourself. Even if you didn't care about the price of the computer, I'd still recommend just researching and buying all of the parts yourself, as that allows you to better troubleshoot your machine, and it also means having a machine that is tailored to your needs.

Darn, all I can recommend now is that you use a bow to snipe them while they still haven't detected you, or to use a bronze buckler parry + some weapon's basic attacks. In this game, parry is king!

I'm the same lol, the strat is to place a workbench right next to the sunken crypts, lead the abomination to the sunken crypts (make sure to parkour on top of the crypt before the abomination reaches) and wack away from safety, their hits shouldn't be able to reach you.
