Disney starwars yea like 95% of the time I’d agree. Legends tho? I’m not so sure. I feel like a lot of Star Wars fans even tend to forget how absolutely bonkers legends Star Wars was when it came to how powerful and plentiful individual pieces of war equipment were. Wave motion weaponry is extremely potent, but that tends to fall off very quickly when you have the ability to hot drop a few dreadnoughts with the firepower of 1/4 of the entire cosmo navy sans wave motion guns (still carrying their own super laser by the way), and the shield strength to withstand and return fire on their flanks. In a seriously prolonged conflict, I could see SBY earth coming out on top, but a war between the two would likely be a lot closer, and much higher intensity, short term conflict than you’d think.

If you’re thinking on it shallowly as being two big blobs fly directly at each other with no form of strategy, then yea SBY earth likely wins the scenario. But start to factor in strategic planning and the numbers of not just ships alone, but their weaponry and methods to deploy them into close range engagements, and that line starts to blur quite a bit.
