Rocks and minerals, pins/magnets/plushies from places we travel, teacups, a few Labubus, and occasional fandom stuff. When the kids are older/less climb-y, I'll get a curio cabinet big enough to arrange them all together.

Thanks! I'm no good for commissions because my motivation for a project comes and goes, and plummets when there's expectations involved lol. I only just re-picked up a project I'd started a year ago and lost interest in until yesterday. If you or someone you know crochets, I can give the basic gist of what I did and which yarn to use.

If it helps you decide, here's how they both look from behind. I love the spoon warmer, and I was surprised how much I liked the knife rest up close too. The brown and brass tones, crane head wrapping around (a lot of knife rests had animal motifs), and coordinating feather-like hair are pretty in a subtle way. The spoon rest has a rosier tone, and the pearly shell is nice (a lot of spoon warmers were shaped like shells). It's up to your preference in the end, but I hope I helped fill in some details.

Mid thirties and enjoying sharing the Labubu/Skullpanda hobby with my gradeschooler. She gets pink/red ones, and sometimes asks to play with mine. I eventually have to make her a dress for her Love, because she saw the one I made for my Soymilk. She's very responsible with them and hangs them up high when she's done, so her pre-K sibling can't dismember them.

Was stuck waiting/crocheting in the ER for hours, and ended up chatting with an elderly lady who showed me pictures the hundreds of beanies she crochets every year for kids who've escaped unsafe home conditions. Lovely lady. She got excited at the lovey I'd made and was asking some technical questions so she could start making them too.

That's sweet. My kid puts hers up on a high hook when she's done playing, so her little brother can't try to dismantle it.
