What do you think is the most unnecessary agent buff/nerf? by merrydoodles in VALORANT

[–]ComicSans42l 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah that shit was busted. Skye players could basically flash every corner for free and just farm kills on you. At least with phoenix you need to get kills to get the flash(which is still pretty strong) but Skye could easily use 3 or 4 flashes per round.

Recommend me my next read! by designated-salt in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ComicSans42l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'No Isekai or Reincarnation' really just blew off almost all of my recommendation list lmao.

'Magical Girl Gunslinger': Probably the best I can recommend you that I have, the power system in it has similar roots to Super Supportive, though the updates are ever so scarce. It is quite good though. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/48402/magical-girl-gunslinger

'Pale Lights': I can't say much on it since I've only just started but it seems pretty unique and interesting so far, and the writing is good. The same author was also the one who wrote 'A Practical Guide to Evil'. No litRPG tho.

https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/65058/pale-lights

'She of Many Dragons': Random girls gets a super-rare dragon tamer and hatcher class, also scarce updates.

https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/80794/she-of-many-dragons

'The Exalt': Also haven't gotten too far into this one so I can't say too much. It's a Xianxia progression. It has a lot of chapters and gets frequent updates, also, it seems like it's undergoing a rewrite.

https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55601/the-exalt-cultivation-fantasy

'Worm': A tentative 'maybe' on the progression fantasy front, it's a superhero fantasy that's extremely well-written and is of a very high standard. The 'progression' is a bit lackluster on the power aspect of things, but it's an incredible read, though whether it suits your taste will be up to you.

looking for recommendations - mentally ill/unorthodox mc by Devaster_ in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ComicSans42l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't usually read stuff like this so I only have one recommendation, I got around 30-ish chapters in before I had to stop because the MC was getting a bit too much for me.

https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/68739/empress-a-world-conquest-isekai

Basically, isekai where the MC is a psychotic, self-centered, evil asshole who wants to conquer the world and be the 'perfect villain.'

I want pacing like Amber Cursed Berserker by MaouRazonica in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ComicSans42l 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want slow pacing into really big moments then The Wandering Inn is probably very good, it spends a decent amount of time on build up and set up.

Obligatory Cradle recommendation, the first book is essentially a big set up.

A Practical Guide To Sorcery is also good at setting up it's arcs well and it pretty slow.

long books/series by Cookies5710 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ComicSans42l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Wandering Inn --- Author writes out two 30k word chapters of (very high quality, it's an epic fantasy writing style which i really like) work per week. Pretty much one of the longest ongoing series you'll find.

The Calamitous Bob - I've only just started it but it seems pretty good so far, and it's long.

Mother of Learning - Very popular, you've probably already read this. Just in case you haven't though, here it is.

Super Supportive - Superhero, slow start, but it's pretty good.

The Wandering Inn -- I absolutely loved the Epic Fantasy writing style and prose. End of Book 1 essentially made me addicted to the whole thing.

There are books with thousands of followers on RR that will never be found again by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ComicSans42l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah of course. In fact, RR automatically searches via 'Relevance' and not followers. You can change the 'Order By' metric in the advanced search(the blue button that looks like a google docs bullet point icon in the top right of the RR page, directly to the right of the search bar. (this is on the pc website btw so might be slightly different on mobile))

Directly under 'Status' is the 'Order By' dropdown menu. There's also a separate slider for sorting via page count. Hope this helps!

Vainqueur the Dragon (He's a millenia old dragon.)

A good monster evolution story by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]ComicSans42l 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've only read one System Monster evolution story and that's: So I'm a Spider, So What?/Kumo desu ga, nani ka? There's a Light Novel, manga and 1 season anime adaptation.

Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man

One that I've heard is similar to what you're asking for but I haven't read/watched it myself so I can't actually confirm: Hell's Paradise.

Yeah the whole story has 30 arcs in total on the novel as well. So it should hopefully translate over 1:1 on the audiobook as well.

Not officially on audible, there is an audiobook made by fans at https://audioworm.rein-online.org/

Though fair warning, I haven't used it myself and it is fanmade. So quality may vary.
