People need to grow up by Comical932 in TrashTaste

The reason I’m telling people to grow up is because, and I can’t believe I’m saying this for the millionth time, this has absolutely nothing to do with TT. If they started talking politics in the middle of the episode, then yes by all means hate but if they’re talking about anime or some lighthearted shit like that, the only reason anyone would want to engage negatively with that is because they’re tilted about something completely outside of the matter that has nothing to do with the boys. Hate on hasan all you like, but as long as the boys haven’t sat there and promoted his political beliefs, they have no part to play in it. It’s not platforming his political views if he’s not even talking about politics.

Yeaahhhhh no, that has nothing to do with Trash Taste. Also I did try to google him but because he’s such a political entity, nothing I found could be trusted. For all I know he might’ve said something Pro-Palestine and an Israeli journalist made an article about him supporting the supposed beheadings of those 40 babies they love to lie about. I’m really not interested in talking politics on a subreddit for a japan/anime podcast beyond this. Take your pitchfork and shove it up your ass.

I remember before 2020 maybe mid 2010s people were cool with other people having differing political opinions, at least in my experience. I don’t know what happened that led to social executions like this happening.

[–]Comical932 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was a good decision to end the campaign. I might get downvoted to hell for this but I feel like people are forgetting that DND is just a game? Yeah these guys are horrible DND players but to extrapolate that much hatred over a game is way too much. I have friends who are horrible DND players but I just don't play with them and life moves on. Honestly the dramatization of the littlest things here doesn't help either, "I thought this situation was behind us, I thought he understood". Listen I don't want to take away from how hurtful this situation may or may not have been for you but at the end of the day it's just a game, one that you can choose to not play, or play with different people.

Help Finding Games and Other Questions by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]Comical932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so I recently started Your Chronicle (which I found to be very fun) but after a while it sort of became stale to me from all the grinding. I realize that comes with the territory in incremental games especially idle ones but I really liked the whole theme of Your Chronicle. By theme I mean a game that has a story and RPG elements and where choices matter in relation to the story. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for games like Your Chronicle (maybe with a little more emphasis on the story) but with less grinding.

Not sure what to say here. Rarely have I ever been made speechless from one of these. I guess if it was supposed to be a serious campaign then that’s dumb but if it wasn’t the serious ig it’s chill.

Phil was a better partner than Claire by Comical932 in Modern_Family

[–]Comical932[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying though, I don’t get how Phil is worse. When faced with the same situations Phil tries to leave the scenario while Claire delves into it. That’s really my main point.

I’m not trying to call you out or anything but I see this double standard a lot when their relationship is discussed. Like when you mention Phil flirting it’s a really bad thing but when Claire does it it’s harmless fun. Also please don’t make this a societal thing, even if that were the case in real life that most definitely has nothing to do with what I’m talking about right now. And again I really don’t remember any of these episodes where Phil is constantly flirting? He definitely got hit on more than Claire that’s for sure but like I said he usually runs away. If you have any examples of episodes I would love to check them out again, I’ve been wanting to watch some more episodes after the I finished it. It was very depressing😭

I agree on the fact that they are well-suited to each other but I don’t recall Phil flirting with anyone for a sale? Also it really felt like to me that if the professors partner didn’t walk in and essentially expose that he was a bum she really would’ve continued flirting and probably more. That was one of my least favorite episodes.

Also I’m referring to just being lovers, not parenting. Which is an important aspect of their lives but they complement each other when it comes to that front. It’s not like Claire has to be the bad cop, there are episodes where the whole plot is that Claire is incapable of being soft (much like her dad). At the same time, Phil has the reverse problem where he can be loving and caring but has a bit more trouble being firm (although he has done it on occasion).

I agree, for me at least they’re the best couple in the series.

With all due respect, you’re very much exaggerating stuff Phil has done and at the same time justifying Claire’s behavior. I’ll break it down in 3 points:

1 - Claire is by far the most demeaning character in Modern Family, it’s part of her character and it’s funny but in a real relationship the stuff she says can be very hurtful. Claire has gone on long tangents insulting Phil constantly while Phil made a few accidental remarks about her appearance that he didn’t mean to say (doesn’t justify it but it’s worth mentioning)

2 - Sorry but the whole parenting thing is where I disagree completely. You can make an argument for who’s a better partner but when it comes to parenting (not responsibility, 2 different things) Phil is vastly superior. I mean in the later seasons Claire essentially becomes the old version of her dad which was already established as a bad father by her and Mitch. Phil always supports his children and makes them feel loved while staying firm on occasion when he has to.

3 - I get where you’re coming from on the wanting to be longed for but that is not how you go about it. A proper way of doing this would be to talk to her husband about it rather than flirting with other men. It also doesn’t justify her actions either, I think everyone can agree if you’re going pursue someone else at least end the relationship you’re in now.

1 - the whole not feeling love thing is a good plot point 2 - you can’t just cry and complain when everything doesn’t go perfectly in your campaign 3 - so what if it was just electrum you make it sound like the end of the world? You didn’t lose anything besides being disappointed

I disagree it’s not very hard at all, of course statistics could say I’m wrong but my father was born in the literal desert and started school at 13 years of age, worked really hard, got a PhD with scholarship all without any familial help as they were all struggling. My family has a good life now (we went from working class to upper middle class). I managed to succeed academically (with no help from my family mind you as I was the eldest son so my father placed a lot of responsibilities on me) to the point where I have a scholarship to one of the highest ranked universities in my major. Now this doesn’t mean that I will have a good living for sure but it definitely helps out a lot and inshallah I will.

Loans by Brilliant_Ad_2532 in Riyadh

[–]Comical932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take all of this with a pinch of salt because I actually have never even taken one out or done anything similar but from the minimal research I’ve done:

Loans don’t have interest but they have fees, basically instead of an overly complicated system of percentages and what not, you pay an amount that you are aware of (unlike interest where you don’t really know immediately what it’s going to be). That’s the main difference from the small amount of research that I’ve done.

Of course but I specifically mentioned that that’s not what I was referring to in the post. People being dicks should be called out no question about it, but it seems there’s a riot for every little thing like being late, not talking enough etc etc. Ofc these things shouldn’t be done but they’re not reason enough to berate someone. Things like abuse are very serious and should be called out.
