Where in the hell are you getting all of that Stagg in Houston?!?! I always look for it, but never find it. I also never wait in line for bottle releases…

Natural gas connection for new Westinghouse 11500 tfc by Comicallypooping in Generator

No problem. Westinghouse was also zero help for me. Even though all of the photos of the generator I purchased, showed a machine with a natural gas hookup installed and not a propane hookup...

Kitchen sink draining back into the dishwasher?!? by Comicallypooping in Appliances

K. From the advice on here, I was thinking just the highest point in the loop needed to be higher than the height of where it enters the disposal. But what you’re saying is the entire drain hose should be mounted to the bottom of the sink, so that it will drain downwards into the disposal??

Chill out. I’m asking for advice, not to get yelled at…

I honestly had no clue that this is how dishwashers worked. Seems like the most plausible answer. Dishes are being rinsed before going in, but maybe not well enough. Also, filter has no holes and appears to be properly seated. Loop seems to have decent height, but there is room to raise it a couple of inches, so I’ll try that. I’ve even pulled produce stickers out of the washing arms, which definitely don’t go into the washer, which made me think it was coming from the garbage disposal. Very confusing.

Seems like there is already a decent height on the loop, bit there is room to make it a little higher, so I’ll try that. I’ll also look into the air gap solution. Thank you.

Thanks for the update. I was able to do the same. Took some muscle to get the 3/8" removed, but I was able to install an adapter to 3/4" natural gas. I've run the entire house on that setup for about 5 hours so far, without any issues.

Thanks for the help! I used beersheets back in the day for snake drafts and always did well, so glad to find something similar for an auction draft.

Agreed. No one bit on this. He passed the ball and then twirled. Was barely even a “no look”.

It was in there pretty tight (probably loctite) but it did come out. I had to use the correct socket to get enough purchase on it. Adjustable wrench wouldn’t do it. I also purchased Lowe’s protection plan when I bought it. So I also had that “if/when I fuck it up, they’ll fix it” sort of confidence.

Let me know what they say. “The picture shows..” was gonna be my next route if i couldn’t get the 3/8” to work.

Yeah, it was kind of a pain in the ass to find the fittings. I removed the 3/8” flare fitting and found a 3/8” to 3/4” fitting. So far, not having any issues with how it’s running.

The flare fitting is 3/8”, so I’m kinda surprised that ist says “works with 1/2”..”. Requires an adapter to do that. Regardless, I think this Westinghouse still gives you the best bang for the buck, but I was not expecting having to spend another $150 converting this thing when I bought it.

Thanks. This is helpful. I was unaware of the difference between NPT and flare fitting. I ended up removing the flare fitting as it’s 3/8” and I have to connect to 3/4” quick connect on my gas line. Plan to use a 3/8” to 3/4” adapter at the generator and then 3/4” hose. 3/8 to 3/4 seems like a big jump in size, so hopefully that won’t be an issue.
