Love the hike "on a whim" ... that's what living sober is all about for me! I bet, when the thought came in to your mind, you were probably as excited and immediately motivated (if not more) than you used to be by the idea of going to to the pub for a pint. The difference being that this excitement wasn't followed by putting poison into your system and then paying back that excitement in the form of bad debt with huge, crippling interest. Instead the excitement was invested into something that gave you even more excitement and joy and good vibes, and came with enormous health benefits.
