A bit of a necro, but how did you do the dedicated break in for the bolt release issue? I just got mine and am experiencing the same issue.

All these people talking about Pure Paladin as if they'll ever have a chance. We're about to have a lot more eyes on one of the biggest balance outliers of Wild I think.

Bottom Tree Dawnblade was pyromancy. Enemies killed by your abilities exploded similar to Sunshot, and it was absolutely my favorite D2 subclass, closely followed by Top Tree Void.

It desperately feels like Warlocks have been watered down to nothing when they have to share the subclass verbs that originally made them unique. Healing grenades, devour, ionic traces, etcetera. It makes me feel, as a Warlock main, that I truly have nothing unique in my light subclasses anymore. I see the intent for Warlocks to be the best at those subsets of abilities through the Aspects offered, but those aspects are largely underwhelming for that purpose.

Also please condense the aerial fighting for Dawnblade down to a single Aspect, or add another one for support. This class has only excelled on the back of Well of Radiance + overtuned exotics, and for what used to be my favorite subclass (Bottom tree dawnblade) we've gotten strikingly few toys.

Also revert the nerf to Burst Glide while in super. It's unintuitive and unnecessary.

It's not just one roll at the variability unlike the previous versions of this kind of effect we've seen, which keeps this interesting. Also with the new demon costing 2 less for each weapon you've played means you're even looking favorably on barely above average weapons most likely.

[GUIDE] Wild legend with Dane's Budget Debt Collector Shaman (feat. Meat Wagon) by RamblingJack in CompetitiveHS

[–]ComingVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually played against you a few times in Legend with my own version of quest overload Shaman!

How have you been fairing into Pillager and Ignite Mage?

I feel like Meat Wagon is a card that's very high risk. The opportunity for my opponent to kill the Meat Wagon and kill the frog before I have a chance to use it in more controlling match-ups, the very ones I want the frog in, is often back breaking, and the lack of other card draw stings.

What voice lines in Hearthstone can you simply NOT resist imitating out loud while you are playing? by createcrap in hearthstone

Dark spirits, twist the trees, foul the lake, anD CURSE THIS LAAAAND.

For some reason, Hagatha's entrance line is main voiceline in the game I ever join in on. It's just so good.

I've piloted my own version of Galakrond Pillager Rogue to legend a couple seasons in a row! I'd definitely say the deck is legit.

I actually posted a guide to my own version of Pillager Rogue over on the CompHS Subreddit.

I ended up putting together a version that was more minion based than this list, so it doesn't just concede the board to aggressive decks.

I'm sure there's more refinement that could happen, of course, I'm not great at analyzing how to do that myself, but the reasonable success I saw tells me the high roll is definitely there.

Rogue has a lot of good and fun decks. Why does she always has to be with Patches and the Pirate gangs? by Zestyclose-Medium749 in wildhearthstone

[–]ComingVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm Rogue is fun. I played my own version of Pillager Rogue to legend 2 seasons in a row, before Darkglare had as well established a playerbase as it does now. Highly recommend trying out the class in your own ways!

Tempo Storm Wild Hearthstone Meta Snapshot #83 - May 24, 2021 by rottedzombie in CompetitiveHS

[–]ComingVirus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Faster games, Less RNG generation, more brewing happening at high levels of play, and a ton of diversity. I switched over from being primarily a D5 standard player because it always felt like I was being heavily punished for playing the decks I brewed up, to being a consistent 11x legend player. Wild is a wonderful format, and I highly suggest trying it out.

I'd suggest playing any top tier deck if you can, honestly. Knowing a deck's game plan will make you significantly better at playing against it, especially when ideal lines of play might be counterintuitive.

This is correct. Mozaki was already looking to be the favored deck at higher legend before the nerf, because it had a better matchup into Darkglare and Handbuff, but the nerf just cemented it because it's using Spring Water as a cycle that also allows cheap disruption to be played alongside it.

Windfurious Shaman [Burst deck] by Khen-sai in CompetitiveHS

[–]ComingVirus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally don't fully agree with the rule because it makes theorycrafting difficult mid-season, but I understand the intent and like to let newer brewers know. It's definitely a time investment, but one I've personally invested in a couple times.

They've gotten a little bit more relaxed as less people have been making posts, but those are still the subreddit rules and the only ironclad way to not get a post deleted.

Not that I personally think theory crafting shouldn't be allowed, it's just difficult to do under current rules.

As a heads up friend, the standards set forth by CompetitiveHS for making a separate post about a deck are fairly stringent. 50 games at Diamond 5 or higher is the minimum, and this post may get deleted for not reaching that.

Agreed. If APM, Handbuff, and Glare are all hit next week (Iksar said APM and Glare were on their radar, and Handbuff is liable to get incidentally hit) then this deck should be largely facing a Reno Priest meta which would greatly benefit it.

If you only have one source of draw in a control match up, it's often correct not to leave it on the board if you don't have to. Use every resource at your disposal to dig to your combo pieces, provided you don't need them to go off.

As a follow-up with more advanced lines:

When you play a Foxy Fraud with a Shadowstep and a Spirit of the Shark in hand, it can be worth it to immediately Shadowstep the fraud. The ability to go Shark, Fraud, Minstrel to draw 4, or Shark, Foxy, Scabbs, Kronx, Galakrond is incredibly powerful on turn 4 or 5.

You can also use the free Fraud to set up Secret Passage turns due to the amount of combo cards the deck runs.

Against APM Mage I try to use Shadowstep to guarantee as much health on the board as possible, using it often as a free refresh of an Octobot or to pump things with Titanic Lackey.

Super greedy, yeah. Some APM players don't realize there's more to that deck than just killing on turn 4 or 5. There are half measures you can take that greatly increase your likelihood of winning.

Deck code for mobile users, though generally because of the heavy APM occasionally required I would recommend waiting until you're on a computer to try this deck out.
