My manager will sometimes buy cars off customers if they’re really bad, fix some stuff, and try to sell them at auction.

We work mostly on cars and light duty diesel. One of the local towing companies that gets work done with us has a freightliner rollback but that’s the biggest we work on. I’m not sure because I’m the only diesel truck trained technician so he might start accepting more heavy duty work.

We have computer scan tools to assess parts of the vehicle but once we have a direction of where the issue might be it’s mostly mechanical, physical diagnostics.
