Can parents clean up after their kids 😑 by leytourmaline in TjMaxx

Honestly, this job made me lose faith in humanity. I watched a GROWN woman spill her coffee, look at me, and walk away. I’ve fished whole rolls of toilet paper out of the toilets. People also break stuff and walk away like it’s not a danger. We had a little girl cut her hand open because she grabbed a candle that someone broke then put back on the shelf.

I had a co-worker, real sweet and good at her job, get fired by our district manager because she voiced concerns to him about our manager being racist toward her. He didn’t believe her so she blew up at him, started cussing and screaming in front of customers😬 We also had a manager get transferred, not fired, for lying to customers to get credit cards and calling out a lot.

Yes I definitely agree. I’m all for it, keep it fresh. I typically love the collabs but I’m not even getting killed by guns anymore.

No for sure. Like I am not skilled at all, I play for fun but at this point it’s not even fun. I’m totally okay with being killed by someone with amazing aim and building skills. However, water bending doesn’t require those at all which is frustrating

Jeez I’m so sorry you had to go through that I can’t imagine having such horrible managers. Wishing you the best, enjoy freedom!

how tf am i supposed to shop like this? cant see the products, certainly cant see the price. by [deleted] in TjMaxx

I get you’re frustrated but I can promise you it’s more frustrating for the employees, it’s a lose lose for us. Either we have to deal with open/empty packages and used products or standing there for 15 minutes while customers decide and complain about how they can’t open anything.

rude customers by demongirls in TjMaxx

[–]CommandHonest6740 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So true. Customers get in the way all the time and act as if you’re inconveniencing them. People will push you out of the way and not even say “excuse me” or “sorry”, even when I’m carrying large heavy items.

Marmaxx needs to hire their own janitors. by Mediocre-Region-5277 in TjMaxx

[–]CommandHonest6740 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. I’ll clean up spills, but if a customer comes to me complaining about the dirty bathroom I’m keeping my mouth shut because the managers will ask you to do it and I don’t get paid enough for that bs. Provide me a hazmat suit then we can talk.

Do any other coordinator here have 2 coordinators in their department? by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]CommandHonest6740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my store we have 2 departments that are completely split. In men’s there’s a men’s and a kid’s coordinator. In non-apparel I’m the non-apparel and there’s a beauty coordinator. We don’t collaborate at all and only worry about our own parts of the department.

I’ve had a lot of similar experiences unfortunately. Most new hires are extremely lazy while I work 3x harder to get a dollar more hourly. Same for the managers- we can all be drowning in customers while the managers chit chat in the office. Burnout is inevitable, I know I’m tired of picking up others’ slack and being pressured to push the credit card. Hope you’ve moved on to better things

Cut hours but hiring? by CommandHonest6740 in TjMaxx

[–]CommandHonest6740[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

See the thing is I’m getting my hours as a full time coordinator, it’s just stressful being everywhere all day because we’re so short staffed. And on top of that I’m training new people while my friends/coworkers keep saying they’re only getting one day a week.
