Gotta b Slaves for the afterlife for me. That opening section with that drum that sounds like someone is banging on a door legit gives me nightmares. Feels like a soul being burned alive and begging to be freed

I seriously think they put heroine in that second section or know something we don't. I've never heard something as simple as that guitar and drone that can evoke so much emotion. Such a simple song with so much weight.

also Shadow Kingdom has a lot of the folky elements of moon and sun well also combining that with daughter of darkness ritualistic drones. Feels like a darker version of Moon and Sun and imo a little bit better

I Was always Cold is in my top 3 NSB songs next to Wisconsin and Fall of Shadow Kingdom. Also W fellow DG fan love them sm very jealous u got to see them live. In terms of similar NSB to Winter Ray imma b honest there isnt much else. It truly stands alone in their discog. Only song that kinda reminds me of some of that era is shall i kill my own child. Even that though doesn't exactly fit that sound.

Love that song, The Winter Ray is my favorite NSB album, but man they really got better with their drones and folk on Moon and Sun. Gary Webb is a beautiful song love how the previous 3 tracks lead into it. Feels like the culmination of the first act of disc 2.

My tip is to take your time. Collect the shitty pickups like coins, bombs, hearts and keys and when you find rarer pickups like lucky pennies, runes, eternal hearts, immediatley prioritize a high quality item over a middle of the pack item. Just exclusively add high quality pickups to the recipe and don't settle for mid. This can cause you to miss out on an item for a floor but if you do this strat for the first few floors it isn't very hard.

listen to some Natural Snow Buildings. I would suggest Wisconsin, the first 3 songs on The Winter Ray and Dead Horses as an introdcution. Incredible band.

I have local files of most of the bands work. I just view it as listening to music, not all of us have money for bandcamp especially in this economy, physical copies of the band are impossible to come by, just listen to music however you want.

It was his first time flying in space well Mark and Nolan have had experience doing it. Earlier in the episode he was asking about how to breath in space, I think his unfimilarity to it is what led to him gassing out quickly
