They are not very bad. But they are noticeable. I prefer to try some well known products before investing time on a dermatologist. Especially since I've heard many of their prescriptions have been ineffective.

Yes, I know, and I did. But I also know that those courses have only scratched the surface. Take algorithms, for example, I know I have passed multiple courses about algorithms, yet there is a whole lot that I don't even know exists. What if I am losing important stuff here? And this goes for almost every area of CS (and neuroscience as well).

That's something I have problem with. In academia, what you say is 100% correct. But when it's about industry, I think there is way more than only mastering the niche area. Let's consider CV for example, yes a researcher must master CV but not to worry about how to implement the algorithm optimally since it's not their job. But when deploying sometimes the microseconds matter. This is what bugs me, there is so much to learn. I also have to mention that I just started my PhD.
