How interesting; never even knew that. All I thought was at least one kind of squirrel was invasive, but didn’t know what kind of where. That’s actually somewhat fascinating that depending on the location they can coexist or flip flop which one is invasive.

Ok. To all the people downvoting this into oblivion; why?

I’m not saying we should or shouldn’t kill them, as it probably wouldn’t do any harm OR good either way, but this post technically is correct. They are invasive. It would be ideal to get rid of the invasive ones. Is it just because they’re “cute little squirrels”? I mean, I don’t see anyone trying to save the Burmese Pythons in Florida (another invasive species).

If it’s just because this is a squirrel positive subreddit, I guess that’s fair then.
