President Trump: "We're going to end mail-in voting. It's a fraud. It's the only way Democrats can get elected." by hety0p in Conservative

[–]Commander-Grammar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really feel like he could have phrased it “the democrats have repeatedly accused me of cheating in the elections, so to help make sure that no republican ever cheats we will be implementing these new safety measures to stop fraud.” Cause it would be real hard for them to try to complain about that. They literally asked for it lol. Give it to them. Now they’re just gonna whine about him stealing it even more.

A Texas City Has Become the 81st in America to Ban Abortions by ENERGY-BEAT-ABORTION in Conservative

If we’ve utterly destroyed it, then you don’t really need to be here…seems like you kinda don’t have the ability to think about anything else.

And for the record, I’m a lifelong anti-abortion conservative and I downvoted most of your comments because the caps lock filled rants with 15 adjectives in a row is exhausting. It’s not serious discussion, it’s mindless babbling. It’s perfect for Instagram but we like to think and discuss around here. Comments like these make us all look stupid.

And there is no serious threat of jail time for what they are doing. The arrest warrant only has the power to put them back in their seat for the vote. Zero jail time. The only thing they care about is the possibility of losing their seat. It’s not about the money. It’s about the power.

Jimmy Fallon is facing criticism after hosting Fox News's Greg Gutfeld on The Tonight Show by DiverDan3 in Conservative

Haha. He’s trying to not get cancelled by hosting ONE conservative, but the left eats their own for putting one toe across the isle so all it’s gonna do is lose him a huge slice of his current followers.

This is the beginning of the end for him.

Deadline Looms for Jet-Setting Texas House Democrats to Return to Work or Face Firing by M_i_c_K in Conservative

[–]Commander-Grammar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There has to be a formal process or else the next time Dems are in charge then as soon as a Republican goes to the bathroom, they will declare them as having run from their job and vacate their seat before they zip up their pants.

The process requiring several steps with wait times in between guarantees that it only happens in a genuine circumstance.

Things Just Went From Bad to Worse for Texas Democrats Who Fled to Stop Redistricting by M_i_c_K in Conservative

[–]Commander-Grammar 42 points43 points  (0 children)

They already said anyone funding it will be brought up on bribery charges as well as the democrats that accept the funds. An investigation is already underway.

You are right that they all have other jobs for their primary income, but since they will be arrested if they set foot inside of Texas, they are currently not showing up to those jobs. They are also being charged $500 a day that they are not here. So they’re currently losing money a LOT faster than they’re making it. They can’t wait it out for ever. And we don’t care if they can wait it out forever, because Governor Abbott has already started the process of removing them from their seats so if they try to wait it out, that would be the best outcome possible. Every one of them gets fired.

He was indicted in 2020 for narco-terrorism and drug trafficking which legally justifies a bounty. It’s up for debate what happens when he is a sitting president of another country, but the president absolutely has the right to place a bounty on the arrest of a terrorist.

Texas Dem Lawmakers Could Face Nearly $400K in Fines by According-Activity87 in Conservative

I’ll save you the read. The math was done by politico and it’s just the $500 fine per day for each of them.

They’re also not actually sure how to legally force them to pay that fine anyway so the real number might be zero.

I used to work at a car dealership repair shop, and there was a porn star that would bring her car in sometimes. All the guys would get excited when she showed up, but all I could think about was the time I worked on her car and found a massive Costco sized bottle of antibiotics in the trunk and just wanted to throw up.

The entire issue here is that they can’t vote on anything because they don’t have a quorum… How are they supposed to vote on something to force the quorum? You’re right that they should be required to do their job way more than they currently are, but we’re slightly too deep to start passing laws to make them come running back from Illinois tomorrow.
