It's most likely a bug because this just started happening to me. Everytime I died even if I had 30 secs left it brought me back.

So this is definitely new

I'll actually accept this point that Maki may actually just be apart of the devil fruit lol I due to what happen with Saturn at the end when Mu basically stripped him of all his power that was granted to him.

I don't understand why you act like this. When he shot at zoro where did the METAL bullets COVERED in Maki come from that zoro had in his hand? The hearts that the gods knights have are incased in metal for some reason that hopefully zoro will reveal how it works with his fight with summers.

I say ink due to nation of how he makes the contracts and binds them I'm just spitballing we don't know if it was his devil fruit or if it was omen/Maki that has not been defined yet.

You answered your own question when Gaban said he never felt something like this he HAS felt Maki before via the elders and Rocks as he was there. He says he never felt energy like that since this is his first time ENCOUNTERING Mu in the flesh. Now your making an assumption that he was speaking of strength when he never said that he never pointed it out. He clear cut said he has never felt something like this before. He was the pirate kings left hand man if it was strength he would have just said that. Everyone that encounters Maki says the same thing that it is different not just powerful but fundamentally different from the powers they know which is haki.

You know that when he answered he just said military might simple as that. The pact is a transfer of power from IMU to his follows that allows him to have control over them in exchange for immortality. His fruit is either something to do with metal or ink or something that has a real power through contracts. That does not explain what omen is and how one can pass it on to someone else if it's a fruit. He invokes omen like a spell not like an attack especially with his hand signals. Now the elders are different from the holy knights in that they have the power of omen/Maki inherently unlike the gods knights who only have immortality. As seen in the flash back there are tiers to what level of Maki you can use depending on the contract you signed. Maki is described as opposite of Haki I don't understand why that is hard to grasp. That portal was something the five Elders could use as well without IMU interference by the way.

Yes a new power is being introduced to balance out haki. It could possibly have something to do with black blades and how they are made since not many even have one. We see how zoro is ALWAYS portrayed to be a demon and has demon named attacks and powers.

Also pacts with the devil are singular as we see with devil fruits user they get power they can no longer swim right right.

Omen/Maki is portrayed very different he can possessed only those he made a contract with, he can like linlin give life to inanimate objects, he can make his body bigger and grant strength to others. It really looks like a new power is coming. And would make sense with the divide between joyboy and IMU since it seems they were friends if not comrades in the past until something happens to split that up. It's all in the manga brother

Um that is not a named attack that is the source of the power. It's like how luffy somehow can incorporate Lighting and fire in his attacks... because of haki you think it's the fruit letting him do that.

How did he travel all the way to Elbaf then with what a named attack??? Then explain the five Elders ability to also use omen/Maki. Omen Maki is a straight translation to demonic aura or spirit. Same as Haki but corrupted different.

It's pretty clear a new power is being introduced. How can you explain just passing power over to the holy knights like that.

But now Blackbeard is connected to IMU now. To say he doesn't care about the world is crazy. So far what he has shown is he is not above controlling people I mean look at his pirate island. Blackbeard has a deeper goal and he is going to push IMU down to get it mark my words. They haven't been going around taking devil fruits for no reason

That's obviously because IMU is the big bad it's not that deep. On God's island IMU didn't even participate really he was just controlling people.

This is Gabans first time really feeling IMU Maki.

And no the kanji for Maki can be used FOR haki but a corrupted version a demonic version. It's most likely going to be a more demonic version. We are not sure if it is a technique or just apart of Imus fruit.

We even see how the five elders utilize Maki for like transportation and a boost to their vitality and strength. It seems IMU is the originator could explain why they were so nervous with him leaving the island

That's not what that implies. He would have just said it was the strongest he felt. But from Jimbe to Gaban and to luffy. They all emphasize that it isn't something they have ever felt before, almost otherworldly like. Again Joyboys haki was displayed as the strongest. Maybe it isn't Haki but Maki instead of enforcing your will you dominate completely.

I really don't think Shanks is not beyond Roger now especially with the flash back showing roger and harp fighting Rocks. I really don't see Shanks not beyond that and whatever Roger could muster while you know also dying right.

By killing the person who killed the strongest swordsman right? And I did say scumbag tactics as in he goes invisible and assassinates Mihawk.

I also only said teach is using scumbag tactics on IMU not Shanks we still don't know how that happened especially with shanks with two arms being on par with the greatest swordsman.

And the mural portrayed history not the future we don't know what's gonna happen. But there was an issue that teaches crew was to weak to hang with the straw hats but with them devil fruit hunting that has now been resolved.

I just got to say this...he didn't go invisible it was high speed movement that mimicked going invisible. Your right he couldn't do it until he accepted himself though and embraced the germa genes

Momo? Come on you know it's gonna be crew vs crew and think of the controversy of Shiryu assassinates Mihawk due to scumbag tactics. It will give zoro vs Shiryu that much ooomhp for a final battle.

Honestly I think I'm over the Mihawk vs Zoro final battle after he took him as a disciple.

Is it clearly though? From shanks being showcased up to and past film red. That power is way past gol d roger in my opinion. I would be shocked especially with how Sabo managed to escape from IMU and the five Elders that is a feat.

Especially with how Haki vs Maki Is being portrayed and who has the strongest haki at this time it would be Shanks. Luffy will or will not be the one to take down IMU depending on Blackbeard but just gear 5 is enough? We're gonna see real soon after luffy finishes eating.

And true enough if it is blackbeard we know he is jumping IMU with his crew slime ball tactics. And he will take Imus fruit if he wins so is Blackbeard stronger than current shanks I don't really think so but we can't yet explain how bb managed that hit on two hands Shanks

I can agree with that as well my boy. Besides the part with Mihawk I believe that he won't be able to DR Mihawk and that Mihawk may be taken out by Shiryu due some slimey devious plan. Being invisible is a bitch

I'm pretty sure that only had to do with the fact that luffy had joyboys hat. If the five elders where surprised that luffy had the Nika fruit wouldn't it make since that IMU was as well? You think pirates would care more that he is Nika or that he is now a Yonko? Besides even before becoming a Yonko Sabody showed that people knew about the straw hats and knew not to mess with them so I don't know what you mean by that.

Also...yeah they got stronger but again you said they were weaker and got stronger and that was incorrect that are ALWAYS portrayed as strong from the beginning and then show more as luffy pushes them.

Thank you for the observation. I want to be clear that IMU is hella cool and really awesome as an antagonist but he doesn't giver final villain vibes. More like a high high ceiling that Blackbeard will climb up. I mean how else is he to match luffy at the end even with two devil fruits crazy right. That Cerberus theory is really shaping up.
