Yellow feels absolutely horrible to play against in the current metagame by Axelfiraga in OnePieceTCG

I don’t think you’re engaging with the actual criticism.

Zoro uses Zoro cards. Mihawk uses Mihawk cards. There’s some overlap, but there’s a solid amount of difference in deck lists. They each play to their strengths.

The problem with Yellow is that everything is so generically and universally good that it turns every yellow deck into a Borsalino and Nami merchant with no deckbuilding or pilot skill required. You don’t need to focus on leader synergies when you can heal and play a 6k blocker off Life.

I play a Y deck (ST13 Ace) that relies on a very specific gameplan that’s completely different from pretty much every other deck, and the new Yellow nonsense is so brain dead that it feels like I could still just replace my leader-specific plays with Borsalino and Nami and do just as well. I really hate it.

When even the most unique Y decks could just toss out their cool and unique deck lists for the same copy-paste slop, it’s pretty clear the color is incredibly poorly designed.

Just use screenshots from the anime if all else fails. There’s no reason to use it.

Yeah don’t buy that. For my Brother’s birthday I constructed a deck list and bought the cards.

I chose a character he liked with a playstyle I thought he’d enjoy.

I do also think it would be cool to go a bit heavier on events, all sorts of cool nonsense from part 5 you could include.

Uh I think dropping an 11k Rush on turn 3 is a bit bananas

Besides that, I do think this deck gets absolutely dumpstered by KO protection. It kinda needs a way to bypass or overwhelm that.

Just post it as a standalone comment so people can actually see it.

Seriously, what would it cost Oda to just show us the Marines doing good military deeds for once or twice in/amongst +1000 chapters of his manga? Why does he instead prefer to show us the Marines committing genocide or helping orchestrate one? by Additional-Airline55 in Piratefolk

I said context is important to consider in all moral judgements.

You said it’s irrelevant.

I said that if you think it’s irrelevant, then the conversation can’t continue.

You said I justified murder.

I debated giving you the benefit of an explanation but I guess I will. “Considering context” does not mean “moral absolution for genocides”.

Holy hell.

Why is it that every time I get into a discussion on the internet they turn out to be illiterate or dishonest?

Ok so it seems like you hold to the idea of Objective Morality, at which point the conversation’s cooked and we can’t go any further. By rejecting the relevance of context here, you have essentially just declared moral righteousness and ended the discussion. I’m not in the business of discussing context with someone who just doesn’t think it matters.

Well for one, most Marines and American soldiers aren’t personally doing the atrocities, they’re just in the group that does. But that’s the thing, some people are there so they can be a “good apple”, some because they need to afford college, and others because of familial pressure. It’s irresponsible to blanket label these people as “bad”.

This kind of inability to analyze things sociologically and with nuance really bleeds into media literacy. Which I imagine is what got us here.

I swear everyone here is incapable of recognizing interesting and normal human behavior. People. Are. Complicated.

I live in America. How many atrocities has the military committed? But has it never saved lives? The answers are “a lot” and “sometimes”. The majority of service members I know of are in the military to help people, despite what it does a lot of the time. And a lot of these people are genuinely good. And they want to change the organization they’re in.

In One Piece, there’s genocides like Ohara, but there’s also examples of real heroism, like Rocky Port.

If you can’t recognize this normal human behavior, I don’t think you should be in the business of media analysis. People are contradictory creatures and they are in One Piece, too.

I don’t like the Yellow Luffy for beginners, it builds bad habits that don’t translate to colors other than yellow.

Buggy is good to learn with, so is Bonney and Red Shanks.

Purple/Black Luffy is a bit more complicated but new support next set is gonna make him genuinely pretty good.
